The Tasmanian Government has a program to support farm and road safety across the livestock sector.
Crossing cattle across roads is a significant issue for farmers, so funding of $750,000 has been allocated in the State budget for the Stock Underpass Program, which will allow farmers access to funds as a contribution to the overall cost of installing an underpass.
Grants will cover 33% of the cost of the construction of the underpass up to $80,000.
For the application to be approved under the Program is must be submitted and assessed BEFORE the construction activity takes place.
