Fire "devastating" for Vic and NSW farmers

The Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association (TFGA) today said that it was sad to hear the devastating news that a significant number of farms and livestock, particularly dairy, were destroyed in the fires over the weekend in Victoria and New South Wales.

“As Tasmania is well aware these natural disasters; whether they be fire, flood or drought; have a devastating effect on individuals and their families, and regional communities more broadly,” TFGA CEO Peter Skillern said.

“The TFGA will be seeking to offer our assistance via affiliated organisations in both the affected states.”
