Agribusiness support welcome

Tasmania’s peak farming body has welcomed the launch of the State Government’s Agribusiness Support Program.

TFGA CEO Peter Skillern said that energy consumption had continued to be a major expenditure for the State’s agricultural sector.

“A program like this will go some way towards assisting Tasmanian farmers through what has been a particularly tough year,’’ he said.

The TFGA looks forward to working with all parties to ensure that the agricultural business community continues reap the benefits from initiatives like these.
