VegPRO will hold a workshop to teach Tasmanian growers about Hort Code on Friday, 1 June at Elizabeth Town Bakery, from 10.30-12.30pm.
The revised Horticulture Code of Conduct is now in full effect, so those growers who trade in fresh produce need to be aware of your obligations and responsibilities under the new provisions – including the need to have a signed Horticulture Produce Agreement (HPA).
As part of the levy-funded VegNET program being delivered in Tasmania by RMCG, the VegPRO project will be delivering a free workshop for Tasmanian growers looking to make sure that they’re compliant with the new Code.
Key topics include an overview of the Code, types of trading arrangements covered by the Code, understanding the paperwork and recordkeeping required under the Code and an open question and answer session.
