A Dairy Irrigation field day will be held on 1 March at 'Rosemount' farm at 765 Green Rises Road, Cressy from 10-1pm.
Key topics include the application of variable rate irrigation and researchers from the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture (TIA) will be present, including James Hills who has overseen the 'smarter irrigation for profit' trials in Tasmania and Bill Cotching to discuss soils, irrigation and drainage. Joe Foley from the National Centre for Engineering in Agriculture will also speak at the field day about technology for monitoring, measuring and automation.
This is a free event, including BBQ lunch.
