Forestry Committee

The TFGA Forestry Committee’s purpose is to act as the body representing the interests of those Tasmanian farmers who have private forestry on their property. The Committee lobbies and advocates for the development & implementation of policies and positions on issues affecting the sustainability of the Tasmanian forestry industry.

Water standing committee

The TFGA’s Water Standing Committee is the peak body representing Tasmanian farmers on water issues. The TFGA Water Committee consists of a diverse and comprehensive group of TFGA members from throughout Tasmania who represent the various Commodity Groups. Each member plays a critical role in supporting the Committee in its role as representative to water users within TFGA.

The TFGA’s Water Standing Committee's main objectives is to protect the interests of water users in Tasmania in achieving efficient, equitable and profitable water use through a scientific and objective analysis of the water issues and policies as well as formulating strategic policies and decisions, both on State and Federal levels.

The TFGA’s Weeds Standing Committee is the peak body representing Tasmanian farmers on weeds issues. The TFGA Weeds Standing Committee consists of a diverse and comprehensive group of TFGA members from throughout Tasmania who represent the various Commodity Groups. Each member plays a critical role in supporting the Committee in its role as representative to weeds issues within the TFGA.
