Commodity Overview
With a farm gate value of around $85 million annually, wool
production is a major contributor to the State's agricultural
economy. The TFGA Wool Council represents the interests of
this important agricultural sector.
Wool Council's Vision, Mission Statement & Goals
Vision:
TFGA Wool Council is committed to a profitable future for its members and a viable future for Tasmanian wool producers.
Mission Statement:
To be Tasmanian's peak woolgrower organisation developing policies and creating benefits for stakeholders.
Our Goals:
Members: To increase the financial and other benefits to members.
Staff: To create a working environment that stimulates, retains, develops and rewards.
Corporate supporters: To provide opportunties for corporate and affiliate organisations to support our purpose.
Financial: To maintain a sound financial future of the Wool Council.
Wool Council:
Works constructively with
industry stakeholders, ensuring that positive outcomes for
wool growers are achieved;
Provides Tasmanian wool growers with a voice on a
diverse range of issues; and
Maintains current knowledge on the important issues
facing the industry as a whole as well as individual businesses.
