With a farm gate value of around $85 million annually, wool production is a major contributor to the State's agricultural economy. The TFGA Wool Council represents the interests of this important agricultural sector.

To be Tasmanian's peak woolgrower organisation developing policies and creating benefits for stakeholders.

Our Goals:
Members: To increase the financial and other benefits to members.
Staff: To create a working environment that stimulates, retains, develops and rewards.
Corporate supporters: To provide opportunties for corporate and affiliate organisations to support our purpose.
Financial: To maintain a sound financial future of the Wool Council.

Wool Council:
Works constructively with industry stakeholders, ensuring that positive outcomes for wool growers are achieved;
Provides Tasmanian wool growers with a voice on a diverse range of issues; and
Maintains current knowledge on the important issues facing the industry as a whole as well as individual businesses.
