The TFGA is the voice of primary producers and the peak body representing Tasmanian farmers at a state and national level. We consider successful member relations to be crucial for a broad member-based organisation.
TFGA deals with a wide range of issues on behalf of members including water and environment, quarantine and bio-security, property rights and land use, education and training, infrastructure including telecommunications and power, rural crime, occupational health and safety and trade access as well as commodity specific issues.
Our key purpose is to ensure a positive environment for our members by providing effective representation, leadership to industry and communication with stakeholders. Our core business is to lobby government to ensure we achieve our purpose.
