The Tasmanian Farmers & Graziers Association (TFGA) is Tasmania’s peak farming body and agriculture’s strongest advocate, representing well over 3,000 members.

The TFGA is an active and powerful lobby group dedicated to the interests of farmers and making a difference in our rural communities.  We champion our members’ needs and provide services which aim to lead the Tasmanian agricultural industry into the future.  With a strong political advocacy and leadership team, the TFGA has continued to support members since its formation in 1948.

TFGA has a reputation as a well respected lobby group.

The association consists of five main commodity groups – Dairy, Meat, Wool, Cereal & Seeds and Vegetables – as well as several sub-committee groups – water, weeds, native vegetation, climate change, bio-security, animal welfare, poppies and pyrethrum.

TFGA members chair and lead these groups, and with the support of the CEO and staff have the power to influence local, state and federal government on a wide range of issues that impact on Tasmanian farming today.

At TFGA, we value:

  • Innovation, knowledge, skills and expertise
  • Performance and hard work
  • Respect and care for our members, clients and partners, and each other
  • Responsiveness and efficiency
  • Long term relationships with members, clients and partners.

We need your support to continue this important work.
