Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Tasmanian Farmers & Graziers Association (TFGA). TFGA is Tasmania’s peak farming body and agriculture’s strongest advocate. Our ability to represent your interests is only possible by the support we receive from members.Some of our achievements from 2012 are outlined in this document for your information. As you can see 2012 was a big year for us representing the farming communities in Tasmania and the TFGA team has been very busy working on behalf of our members. We need your support to continue this important work.

TFGA is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a portfolio of relevant services to help members, clients and partners achieve greater success. We are widely considered the voice of Tasmanian agriculture and we engender widespread support for the industry in all community sectors. We embrace and promote innovative, responsible farming and business practices. We are a progressive organisation with a strong track record and a 48-year history. Our work and our industry make an essential contribution to the economy and employment.

Member categories
TFGA has a history of providing essential, practical services to businesses in the Tasmanian agricultural community. Our organisation is about choice and flexibility. We offer a range of membership options to best meet the needs of individuals and groups. Our five options fit into the following categories. They are:
Producer Member - for primary producers of all commodities. Membership fees are paid through an agent levy system. Producer members receive automatic voting rights and can be elected to represent TFGA on Commodity Councils and also be appointed to the Board. Producer members receive a subscription to the monthly magazine VOICE, subscription to the weekly e-newsletter FastNews and member discounts at events and for other services.
Associate Member (Subscriber) - For those not engaged in active farming but who wish to subscribe to the organisation. Membership fees are paid via an annual subscription. Subscriber Associate members receive a subscription to the monthly magazine VOICE and also the weekly e-newsletter FastNews (via email if provided)
Associate Member (Supporter) - For those not engaged in active farming but who wish to support the organisation. Membership fees are paid via an annual subscription. Supporter Associate members receive the weekly e-newsletter FastNews (via email if provided)
Corporate member - For organisations or individuals who have a strategic link or vested interest in the agricultural industry. Membership fees are paid via an annual subscription. Corporate members receive a subscription to the monthly magazine VOICE and weekly e-newsletter FastNews.
Life Member - person or persons elected by the TFGA board. Life members have the same entitlements as a Full member.
